Bayberry Wax Candles Make Beautiful Gifts for Friends and Family

  Bayberry Wax is a natural antibacterial agent. It has an earthy smell that reminds me of parsley or Rosemary, but does not have the pungent odour of many over the counter or prescription medications. Bayberry is harvested from the tops of young trees, which are left on the forest floor to oxidize. The resulting crude wax is then filtered and infused with essential oils for aromatherapy. After being harvested from the trees, bayberry wax sinks to the earth and crystallizes into small beads. The crystals are sanded and then baked at 100 degrees Fahrenheit until the finished product is a smooth, dark melting mass. The crystals are then sent to a wax manufacturing plant, where they are ground and prepared for use. Bayberry wax is primarily used in personal care products such as soaps, candles, shampoos, and shaving gels because of its deodorizing, antibacterial, and healing properties.
